Faithworks

All applicants to Faithworks, INC., Service Enriched Housing Program must be a permanent resident of Winchester, Frederick, Clarke or Warren Counties & must meet the following guidelines: Must meet one or more of the HUD definitions of homeless, must be at or below 60% of the median income, must be gainfully employed or have other income sufficient to meet expected monthly rent, utility, food & other expenses, must meet with Faithworks staff to identify goals, establish a working budget, utilize support services, etc. and must be willing and able to do the leg-work needed to change their situation.

Habitat for Humanity

This program provides income-qualified families the opportunity to own a decent, affordable home (this is not a rental program and Habitat for Humanity is not in a position to help someone who needs emergency housing). It takes qualified families approximately 8 to12 months to work through the program. Once qualified, families purchase the home at a very low cost. Families are invited to call to determine if they prequalify for an application.
