Volunteers perform much of the clinic’s work, along with a core of paid staff. They are the lifeline of the clinic, positively affecting everything we do and everyone we serve. Clinic volunteers come from all walks of life and they donate their talents in a variety of ways. Volunteer activities are available four days and one evening each week.


Medical Professionals:

In order to serve in a clinical capacity at St. Luke Community Clinic, you MUST hold an active license through the Virginia Department of Healthcare Professionals.


Providers – Doctors, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants


The number of people who receive health care services and medications at the clinic is directly related to the number of volunteer health providers who treat patients in our medical and dental clinics. NAP tax credits are available for licensed professionals.


Nurses, Dental Hygienists, Counselors, etc.


Medical professionals of many fields are needed to help us meet our mission. NAP tax credits are available for licensed professionals.

Non-licensed Volunteers:


Volunteers serve in a variety of ways from answering phones and completing other administrative tasks to reviewing charts, screening patients for eligibility, and scheduling referrals.

Students:


Pre-health majors from colleges/universities can provide support services while getting experience in a community-based healthcare delivery system.
